Dr. Rick Schenkelberg is a Board Certified Psychiatrist specializing in the evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management of mental illness in the adult population. Born and raised in Cleveland, he is proud to return to the area to serve his local community.

Dr. Schenkelberg graduated Summa Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University and earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. There, he was awarded the James and Philip Brasington Memorial Prize for outstanding performance in Psychiatry. He completed his residency training at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (UPMC), where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.

Prior to returning to Cleveland in 2018, Dr. Schenkelberg practiced in central Illinois, treating patients across inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings. During this time, he also served as Volunteer Faculty at the Southern Illinois University Psychiatry Residency Program, leading the ECT rotation.
